Swedish pop legends ABBA have released their first new album in 40 years, Trip, today via Capitol. Now that it’s out, you can stream it all here.

When Trip was announced that ABBA has shared their first two singles: “I Still Have Faith in You” and “Don’t Shut Me Down”. They also announced a new ABBA Travel London concert experience with digital versions of ABBA with a group of 10 musicians. The video for “I Still Have Faith in You” featured the experience live. The band then shared their third single, “Just a Notion”, via a lyric video. The vocals for “Just a Notion” were originally recorded in 1978, to which the band added a new backing track.

The ABBA Travel The concert experience will take place in a purpose-built arena with a capacity of 3,000 people and located at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. It will start on May 27, 2022.

ABBA’s last album dates from 1981 Visitors and they dissolved in 1982. ABBA officially met in 2018.

Each band member previously issued a separate press release on the new album and the concert.

Benny Anderson: “We just call it Trip and we are truly sailing in uncharted waters. With the help of our youngest, we travel into the future. It’s not easy to explain, but it hasn’t been done before. It’s hard to say what was the happiest thing for me with this project. Whether it’s the involvement in creating the gig with everyone or the coming back to the studio together after 40 years. I think hearing Frida and Agnetha sing again is hard to beat. When you come into the arena you will find the four of us with an absolutely glorious group of 10 musicians. And while it’s not in the flesh, we’ll be there, thanks to the work of the creative team and ILM.

Anni-Frid Lyngstad: “Those first sessions in 2018 were so much fun and when Benny called and asked if I was considering singing a bit more I jumped on it! And what songs !! My respect and love goes out to these exceptionally talented and truly awesome songwriters! What a joy to work with the group again. I’m so happy with what we did, and sincerely hope our fans feel the same.

Agnetha Fältskog: “When we got back together in the studio, I didn’t know what to expect… But Benny’s recording studio is such a friendly and safe environment, and before I knew it I was having fun. really ! I can’t believe the time has finally come to share this with the world!

Björn Kristian Ulvaeus: “These two are such amazing singers, I was completely stunned by the way they delivered these songs. They are real musicians; totally unimpressed with the pop star’s glamor but still having fun being creative in a recording studio. The Trip project has breathed new life into us in more ways than one. So, again, thanks for waiting! We hope to see you in the “ABBA Arena” and yes — see — because we’ve infused a good deal of our soul into these avatars. It is no exaggeration to say that we are back.
