The ABBA member took to the Swedish icon’s Instagram to return the love to the Foo Fighters rocker with a Learn To Fly blanket and his own band’s t-shirt.
ABBA Benny Anderson replied to Dave Grohl wearing their band hoodie at Glastonbury This weekend.
The foo fighters the leader appeared on stage during the legendary Beatles by Sir Paul McCartney title set on Saturday, June 25, and he returned to the Pyramid stage wearing an ABBA hoodie.
The band have since reacted to the notable moment, with Benny Andersson returning the favor on the band’s social media.
Taking to the band’s official Twitter for ABBA Voyage, the legendary Swedish singer, writer and composer performed a short but sweet rendition of learn to fly on the piano before turning to the camera to reveal himself wearing a Foo Fighters t-shirt.

Grohl is an unabashed fan of ABBA and this isn’t the first time he’s shown his appreciation for the band.
In fact, the Best Of You singer revealed he “cried like a baby” when he heard new tracks from original members Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
Speaking to BBC News in 2021, he said: “Oh my god I’m such a huge ABBA fan. When I saw they were coming back and they had a record I shot this link to 100 people i knew then i listened to the new song and i cried like a baby. i cried like a baby. oh man!”
“It was almost as if time hadn’t passed. Plus, it was such a beautiful retrospective, romantic, melancholic and bittersweet.”
“Ugh, that’s amazing. ABBA can’t hurt.” it gushed later.
Grohl went on to express his interest in playing drums for the Eurovision-winning pop group, saying:
“Look, I’ll stand up and play drums when an envelope is opened. Show me a drum set and I’ll sit on it. So yeah, I’ll play ABBA.”
