W Magazine celebrates 50 years with a host of models

O rings in half a century with a little help from his relatives. This month’s special issue features icons from the modeling world, with 17 covers featuring Naomi Campbell, Amber Valletta, Iman, Kendall Jenner, Precious Lee, Cindy Crawford, Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Christy Turlington Burns, Shalom Harlow, Alex Wek, He Cong, Adut Akech, Anok Yai, Loli Bahia, Sora Choi and Binx Walton, phew! Inside, well-known talent all discusses the past, present and future of the industry while showcasing the latest fall fashions. To commemorate the history of pop culture and the fashion bible, a glossy book titled 50 Years/50 Stories by Editor-in-Chief Sara Moonves, will be released later this year. Waiting, W Magazine has teamed up with Bergdorf Goodman to feature the 17th anniversary covers, as well as the magazine’s vintage covers, in three of the store’s windows from tomorrow to September 19. Interview launches September issue, featuring Kim Kardashian

Kaia turns 21 in Black Rock City

When you start walking international tracks before most teenagers get their braces out and learn to drive, your 21st celebrations need to be just as big. As such, supermodel Kaia Gerber rang in the milestone birthday at the Burning Man Festival this weekend, joined by her runway legend mother Cindy Crawford and close friends including Karlie Kloss. On Instagram, Crawford wrote a sweet tribute to her daughter, saying, “I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become and the way you are in the world. Your curiosity, your kindness and your sense of adventure continue to inspire me. I am so happy to be on this life path with you! Keep thriving this year and always. Happy Birthday K!

Jerry Seinfeld to star in Kith’s Fall campaign

It’s as New York as it gets. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is Kith’s new front man, featured in the brand’s Fall ’22 campaign shot by Mark Seliger. Queens-born Kith founder Ronnie Fieg tapped Seinfeld (a Queens College alumnus) to model the brand’s collection for the City University of New York, created with Russell Athletic. The fall range will include collaborations with New Balance, more 8th St by Ronnie Fieg for Clarks Originals, and an increased focus on original ready-to-wear. Think Italian leather, sherpa outerwear, double-knit suits, satin varsity jackets, and more. The aforementioned CUNY capsule, specifically for Queens College and Brooklyn College, started by Kith’s nonprofit arm, the Kinnect Foundation, and will support scholarship opportunities for students. The collection will be launched on September 9.

Iconic! Elizabeth Hurley teams up with Karen Millen

Speaking of icons: Karen Millen has unveiled the third chapter of her ICONS series. And none other than Elizabeth Hurley, whose sultry style helped define ’90s clothing, leads the latest iteration (following in the footsteps of Paulina Porizkova and Helena Christensen). Hurley, 57, spearheads the campaign, which draws inspiration from the early years of the Karen Millen brand, fused with her own refined personal style.
