Doja Cat ‘Covers’ Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s ‘Shallow’: Watch – Billboard

Doja Cat had fun playing Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper A star is born duet “Shallow” on Wednesday (July 27), and the results were nothing short of hilarious.

The rapper shouted the high-pitched chorus of the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit on Instagram Live, barely speaking the words as she rolled over on her bed wearing a rainbow-colored crochet top with her spiky hair in tiny pink devil horns.

Later in the same Live, Doja attempted the song again, this time even harder but with a change of outfit and holding her hand up to the ceiling light in the room.

Gaga is already a fan, answer to a fan’s TikTok comment under Doja’s performance with: “LADY THISS A SERVE.”

While the singer’s amusing rendition of “Kiss Me Better” may not count as a full-fledged “cover” of the No. 1 hit in the traditional sense, many other artists have delivered their own renditions of the ballad, including Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Lizzo, Tori Kelly and Ally Brooke, Lewis Capaldi, Pentatonix, Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, and many more.

It’s been a busy week for Doja: On Monday, she went shirtless as Post Malone’s muse in the music video for their collab “I Like You (A Happier Song)” and a day later landed six nominations at the 2022 MTV Video Music. Awards as Nominated Top Female of the Year.

Gaga, meanwhile, kicked off the European leg of her long-awaited Chromatica Ball earlier this month, with shows in Dusseldorf, Germany, and Stockholm, Sweden. Next, she will take the show to Saint-Denis, France; Arnhem, the Netherlands; and London before heading to the United States for the North American run of the tour.
