Jeff Walker of Carcass wasn’t surprised by the group’s postponement of tour with Arch Enemy and Behemoth

CARCASS leader Jeff walker told Finnish Chaoszine that the group’s fall 2021 postponement “The European Headquarters” tour with SWORN ENEMY and MONSTER didn’t shock him so much. “It wasn’t a setback at all,” he said. “When we agreed to do the tour [in 2020], I saw this happen; it wasn’t a big surprise to me. It’s a relief in a way because they left it so late to announce that the tour was not going to take place. There were so many obstacles and obstacles that I could see that were going to be lifted. Between COVID and Brexit, it was going to be very difficult to do this tour [last] year in September. I think it was a good thing to postpone it, to give more time. Not [just] because of all this shit, but the impact Brexit is going to have on bands coming to the UK and UK bands touring the EU. “

The reprogrammed “The European Headquarters” Tour dates will now begin September 27 in Dublin, Ireland, and end November 6 in Oslo, Norway. The debates open every night will be Portland, the newcomers to Gothic metal from Oregon TO OTHERS (formerly known as SLOW HANDS).

CARCASSthe last album of “Torn arteries”, was released in September via Nuclear explosion records. Drummer Daniel wilding worked in session in Sweden at Studio Gröndahl with David Castillo while the guitars were recorded at The train station with James atkinson in Leeds, England. Eventually needing some form of residency to finalize vocals, bass, and other guitar playing, the band returned to Studio Gröndahl in Sweden to continue working in a very relaxed atmosphere with Castillo.

the “Torn arteries” the title refers to an old demo created by CARCASSthe original drummer Ken owen back to the 1980s.

In February 1999, Owen suffered a near-fatal brain hemorrhage, leaving him in a coma for over 10 months. As a result, he is unable to play as before. When CARCASS reunited in 2007, the drum stool was filled by Daniel Erlandsson and then Savage.

Ken would have given his approval to Walker and guitarist Bill Steer continue with CARCASS and provided support during the recording process for the band’s 2013 comeback album “Surgical steel”.

CARCASS gave their first pandemic era concert on November 6, 2021 at the Feast of Damnation in Leeds, United Kingdom
