Little Boots has revealed that she will be performing at ABBA’s upcoming ‘Voyage’ concerts in London.
The Swedish pop icons announced the ‘revolutionary’ live experience last week (2 September), while sharing their first new songs in 40 years: ‘I Still Have Faith In You’ and ‘Don’t Shut Me Down “.
Starting next May, the special live shows will feature a “digital” version of ABBA (not holograms) alongside a 10-piece band in the 3,000-capacity “ABBA Arena.” of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. The ambitious event will feature 22 tracks, including the aforementioned new singles.
Taking to social media today (September 6), electro-pop artist Little Boots – real name Victoria Hesketh – revealed to fans that she will be joining the ‘ABBAtars’ on stage to perform keyboards, the synth and choirs.
Hesketh explained that she is “a lifelong ABBA fan” and said it was “an absolute honor” to be involved in the “Voyage” project. “I’m beyond excited for the journey to continue and I hope you can join us,” she added.

The musician, from Blackpool, spoke in more detail on Instagram about the unique experience so far. “It was already a dream to spend time in the studio with my musical heroes,” she wrote.
“I am beyond thrilled that this journey will continue and that I have the privilege of performing these songs with one of the most incredible group of musicians I have ever played with. The sound of this group will give you the flesh chicken! »
Hesketh also shared two images of herself “in [her] element” next to Benny Andersson in the studio – see that post below.
Little Boots’ first Top 5 album, “Hands”, was released in 2009. She has since released two albums: “Nocturnes” (2013) and “Working Girl” (2015). Her EP “Business Pleasure” was released in 2014.
On September 24, Little Boots will share “Silver Balloons” – the lead single from their upcoming fourth studio album. You can pre-register it here.
Meanwhile, tickets for ‘ABBA Voyage’ go on general sale tomorrow (September 7) from 10am – buy yours here.
Rather than following the trend of hologram shows, “ABBA Voyage” has been described as a “groundbreaking” digital version of the band made in conjunction with George Lucas’ special effects company, Industrial Light & Magic – using technology motion capture and created by a team of 850 people.
Following the announcement of the band’s return, ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus revealed that he and co-songwriter Benny Andersson were “prepared” for bandmates Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog to say no to the reunion.
“It would have been understandable, but no, they didn’t, because they’re both… They like the creative side of things,” he said in an interview with Apple Music.
