Following the surprise departure of guitarist Nita Strauss from her touring band, Alice Cooper welcomed an old friend into the family, namely former guitarist Kane Roberts.

Roberts will join Cooper for his upcoming Detroit Muscle shows in the United States.
“I can’t wait to welcome Kane Roberts back for our shows in September and October,” says Alice. “We’ve been friends all this time, and he’s always been one of my favorite guitar players. He brings more muscle to the Detroit Muscle Tour.
“We’ve always had a swinging door policy where players can come and go, so it’s very exciting to be back on stage with Kane. The fans are going to have a blast at these shows. It’s going to be awesome. Kane Roberts, Ryan Roxie and Tommy Henriksen on guitar? Oh yeah!”
Here is a reminder of Roberts’ first stint with the Ghoulfather of shock rock.
Earlier this week, Nita Strauss revealed that she had left Cooper’s band after their last European show of the summer, which took place at Törebodafestivalen in Toreboda, Sweden on July 9.
In an Instagram post, she added that her solo summer festival dates have also been canceled, but stresses that there is “no drama”. No further details were provided on the decision to leave or his future plans.
The statement read: “After this absolutely incredible run in Europe, it is bittersweet for me to let you know that I will not be joining Alice Cooper’s band for the upcoming fall tour. I will also have to cancel the festival dates my solo band had planned for the rest of the year.
“I’m not pregnant! There’s no drama and my year of touring is still busy – in fact, I’m on a direct flight to the next adventure as I post this, and I’ll be on scene much sooner than you think! But that’s news for another day.
“The last eight years together have been the experience of a lifetime, and I couldn’t be more grateful to Alice and Sheryl Cooper, Shep Gordon, the amazing band, crew and fans for welcoming me into your whole nightmare. I don’t know what the future holds after this, but I’m forever grateful.”
