Singer Diana Ross teases her first music video in over a decade

LONDON, Nov. 3 (Reuters) – Singer Diana Ross has teased her first music video in over a decade as she prepares to release her new gratitude-themed studio album “Thank You” later this week.

Ross, 77, who rose to fame in the 1960s as the lead singer of Motown Records’ hit girl group The Supremes, recorded the music video for the new song “All Is Well”.

The clip shows a studio under construction over a period of time and Ross, in a black robe, sits on a chair singing the opening lyrics to the track.

“My sons gave me the confidence and encouragement to make this video,” Ross said in a statement Wednesday.

“After spending almost two years not acting and being in front of the camera, they helped me get back to being surrounded by a lot of people.”

Ross will be releasing “Thank You,” his first studio album since 2006’s “I Love You”, on Friday. She recorded the new songs in her home studio during the COVID-19 pandemic. Read more

“I have spent the last year recording new music and this music is a reflection of the joy, love and gratitude that I feel every day. It is an album of great appreciation for life. and for all of you, ”Ross said.

“For me, it was urgent to make a meaningful album, to work with what is happening in our world now. Through the power of music, we are creating a new kind of conversation that supports our choices and the decisions we make. “

In addition to the thoughtful songs, the album is said to have upbeat tunes including “If the World Just Danced”, which is accompanied by a video from dance fans around the world.
